to all the projects I loved before | pt. 1
This is a short recollection of the projects I was invovled with at different times during my career. From my very early days of dressing in formal businesswear to working from home in loungewear.
My engineering career started in Hazeldean Rd, Addington in Christchurch, I was a summer intern in the AECOM Building Structures team. My first project task was to carry out an Initial Evaluation Procedure (IEP), under supervision. It took the sacarstic, 20-year-old, left-brained me quite a while to understand how a number can be calculated qualitatively using a hollistic approach. It was a lightweight timber-framed classroom, much like the building I was in a decade back.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
